"Long-tailed Finch times Two"

As a Visiting Senior Fellow, I served as Kim Maute’s ‘field assistant’ for a few days. The project uses conservation endocrine methods to assess how finch health varies with different land management methods. Many of the grasslands the finches use are burned seasonally and by comparing stress hormone (corticosterone) levels across burned versus unburned lands one can determine the effect of these methods on finch health.
