Storm over the Northern Boundary
Mo Healey, PhD Student
This incredible storm moved in over the Northern end of my field site as I was driving out to it one morning. The site is 40 km of sand dunes away from the field camp, which was sunny when I left. As I got nearer it got darker and more looming until I saw the clouds and quickly high-tailed it out of there before the rain hit and I would be stuck marooned on the wet sand! Out there, 280km from the nearest town and no access to T.V or the news, it felt a bit like Armageddon had come!
