34. A very selective feast by an unknown predator on these leaves in the Lost Gardens of Heligan on the south coast of Cornwall in England. Red colouration in leaves, caused by plant pigments called anthocyanins, may deter predators. The green leaf here certainly looks to have been the more tasty of the two.
